I.1.5.2 Follow-Up

To meet the requirements of the State's cancer reporting system, it is necessary to periodically determine the vital status and condition of registered patients. One method of obtaining this information is through the casefinding process. Reporting facilities must have a systematic method of identifying patients who are re-admitted to the facility or who are treated on an outpatient basis, whether for the reported cancer or for another condition. This information can be used to update patient's vital status and condition.

See Section Follow-Up Information for additional follow-up information.
